While the rails did ride smoothly, I had to remove the block, for hole alignment under my print bed support. Much to my dismay, I saw that both sides contained gaps with missing ball bearings. This led to having more fall out, when I tried to replace the block on the guide rail. I had to spend a great deal of time on Pyle carpet, fishing out tiny bearings with a neodymium magnet. The ones that Misumi sells are the best and no way these will approach them. But you can buy quite a few of these for what a Misumi rail cost. They do need cleaned and relubed and in my case I replaced the balls with better ones to get them to be even smoother operating. They are nice and smooth operating on the Y axis of my printer.

I've always read about how expensive good linear rails are, but for how cheap these are and how decent the reviews are, I decided to try them out. I been putting of this review for a bit as I was getting parts together.The rails are really good for what I'm doing with them. It helps my my printer look more robust and I don't have to tighten any V rollers anymore. I'd definitely get more of these for other printers I get later on. That being a large format printer I have in the wood works.

Most of us know the deal with cheap rails. You're lucky to get 1 out of 3 right and that even takes some work. I was genuienly surprised, these are perfect right out of the box. Straight, not binding anywhere. I took them apart to clean them and lube them, but they didn't really need it (although I did it still cause of OCD :D )

I've purchased these type rails from several vendors for various projects, and with the two samples so far, they've demonstrated very good tolerances/functionality compared to some. One caution: don't plan ahead/predrill your mounting screw holes. It seems that the pattern is not always standardized from vendor to vendor, and I've even gotten some that the pattern was 90 degrees off from stated literature (from another vendor).
