Slides nice, too best in my review

I used this on my Tevo Tarantula for the X axis. I had some trouble because I looked at the holes in the rail and thought they used the same M4 screw and T nut system that the rest of the Tarantula and virtually all 2020 and 2040 extrusions use. Plus, I saw no mention of any difference in the product info. So, I tried to get a M4 to fit and it looked a little tight. I decided to try my brand new drill press out. I set it to 650 rpm, and tried to drill the holes out a bit. Boy is my wife mad…

Pros
  • 1 x 700mm (27.55") MGN12 Rail Guide, 2 x MGN12H Black carriage blocks
Cons
  • May produce excessive noise during operation

Mostly good linear guides

I ordered 3 of these rails to convert my Ender 5 plus. 2 of the rails slide as smooth as glass. The third one is rough and sticky, even after a good thorough cleaning. It has these dark areas in the rail groove that inhibit the block from gliding over it without some effort. Now it looks like I'm going to have to order another one. I had high hopes from the reviews.

Pros
  • Effective at reducing backlash and vibration
Cons
  • The carriage blocks may be difficult to adjust or replace if damaged

Great Value for my opinion

Very nice linear slide. Does not move as smoothly as much more expensive slide.I purchased this to make a wood working jig -- so precision is way overkill. But it is inexpensie and does the trick.

Pros
  • Wide range of potential applications beyond 3D printing and CNC work
Cons
  • The rail guide may not be suitable for printing with flexible filaments

Amazing results for my opinion

I been putting of this review for a bit as I was getting parts together. The rails are really good for what I'm doing with them. It helps my my printer look more robust and I don't have to tighten any V rollers anymore. I'd definitely get more of these for other printers I get later on. That being a large format printer I have in the wood works.

Pros
  • Comes with comprehensive instructions for ease of installation
Cons
  • May not be a good fit for makers who prefer to use only open-source components

2 out of 3 are great - UPDATED

Two of the 3 I ordered slide smoothly with even the slightest tilt (15°) of the rail. The 3rd is pretty much unusable it has so much drag. You can hold the rail completely vertical and it still doesn't move on it's own. Upon close inspection, we can see that the precision on the carriage is significantly off so it's off center on the rail causing too much pressure on one side including having the retention wire bottoming out on the inside of the rail channel. I confirmed it's the carriage and…

Pros
  • More cost-effective than other high-end linear guides
Cons
  • May not be suitable for large-scale CNC machines

The rails are ok, not great just ok.

The rails arrived packaged quite well and after inspection one was in a good condition while the other seemed to be binding near the ends. After cleaning and lubrication one of them moved freely while the other still binds a bit. They seem to be working but for how long I don't know. Probably won't get this brand again.

Pros
  • Surface technology: Oxidation prevention by electroplating (chromium plating)
Cons
  • The rail may not be durable enough for frequent use
