I bought this with my new Samsung HDTV. The TV is a 'smart' TV so I really wish the Blu-ray player had wifi access for updates. The player connected very quickly, adding to my Wi-Fi network was easy and no online updates were required. It plays very quickly compared to the Sony Blu Ray player I connected to another TV, but there is a little hissing during playback. Not so loud that I can hear it through the player, but I can hear it before the movie starts. I don't use it for internet streaming, just watching movies and it's great for that. Since the TV is Samsung, the TV remote works with the Blu-ray player, which is nice. In general - since it was less than 98.00, the player is exactly what I wanted.
