Review on 🔘 1.2 cu. ft. Sharp KB-6524PW Microwave Drawer Oven in White - 24-Inch by Todd Stepp

Sharpe Microwave Drawer has been with us for 2 years now. It took 3 calls to get support. The first shortly after we bought it - the mechanism that opens the door has shifted (which apparently happens quite often). This was easily fixed and never happened again. Cons: No turntable, so you have to be careful to spin every item that requires it (which is mostly the case)! The big downside is that you can't see the inner "ceiling" of the microwave very easily, and if ANY food builds up on the metal grid, it will quickly burn a hole, resulting in a flame and small fireworks. Of course, call a mechanic right away, and after calling the $70 service they can easily remove and replace the existing plate. A great solution would be if the homeowner could remove the skid plate and clean it in the sink. I understand that this is an operator error. If we covered everything we put in the microwave, this wouldn't happen. However, if you live in a family with children (like us) this is unlikely! Overall, you like the efficiency and performance of your microwave oven. Love the easy open door and the fact that it doesn't take up any countertop space and is very attractive in a newly renovated kitchen. Basically, Sharp wished it would make cleaning the interior easier and get 5 stars.
