Review on πŸ”§ BOSCH BT300: Aluminum Heavy Duty Elevator Quick Clamp Tripod - 45 Inch by Pat Slater

Revainrating 4 out of 5

For professional contractors or DIY enthusiasts

I was looking for a laser level tripod that I use in contract services . I did a lot of research and settled on this one based on two things: 1. Another option in this price range (from pls) had reviews that suggested the device would shake when fully extended.2. I use Bosch Gravity Rise saw stands and they are STRONG. (Much better and more durable than the Dewalts I've had before.) Even with previous positive experiences with Bosch, when I paid $130 for it, I expected it to be pretty flimsy. I decided to admit that might be the case based on the price I wanted to stick to: under $150. However, when I received it, this thing shocked me! I could tell right away that this thing was as solid as the stands for my saw. So I checked it. I brought it to the site where I'm building the deck on the second floor. I had it almost fully extended and my laser level was still able to reach the fixed level point even on a windy day. UPDATE 12/27/2018: still stable. Works well. Windy days can be painful when fully stretched, but it still works reasonably well.

Pros
  • STABILITY: The Bosch BT300 tripod has an adjustment system that tightens the tripod to increase stability at the user's desired height
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous
