Good quality, bad design.

I expected better performance for the price. The legs are the worst part of this tripod. Each tripod leg works independently which makes alignment very difficult as you end up having to repeatedly adjust each of them to align them. I also noticed that the rubber feet don't stick to hardwood floors, so the whole thing glides almost flat within minutes. There are spikes under the rubber feet that may work on some surfaces, but exposing them on delicate floors can cause damage. I was thinking of…

It's a beast! Love it

I have been using a Bosch BT160 tripod for a few years. The price difference between the two is around $100, with the BT160 being smaller. I wanted to upgrade to something with instep adjustment in something other than the legs. Decided to try this one after reading the reviews. The package arrived today and when I went to pick up the box I was very surprised. It was very heavy compared to my BT160. My first thoughts were, if it's that hard, then it needs to be made harder. I was right, the…

Not as stable as when used outdoors; A few features are missing

The aluminum construction of the Bosch Heavy Duty Elevator Quick Clamp is great - they're pretty strong (although mine fell in the garage it got a serious dent which luckily ONLY was above the telescoping partial legs). Less pretty: The aluminum "legs" of the Bosch Heavy Duty Elevator Quick Clamp tripod are fairly stable on paved surfaces, but require a spike or other fixture to hold them. Feet will not slip when used on the floor. = The center shaft is not reversible (i.e. you cannot use the…

For professional contractors or DIY enthusiasts

I was looking for a laser level tripod that I use in contract services . I did a lot of research and settled on this one based on two things: 1. Another option in this price range (from pls) had reviews that suggested the device would shake when fully extended.2. I use Bosch Gravity Rise saw stands and they are STRONG. (Much better and more durable than the Dewalts I've had before.) Even with previous positive experiences with Bosch, when I paid $130 for it, I expected it to be pretty flimsy. I

Useful photo and photography tripod

I bought this tripod to mount a Bosch GLM400CL laser rangefinder. I purchased a Pacific LASER Systems PLS-20351 5/8-11 to 1/4-20 Tripod Thread Adapter to convert a 5/8-11 thread on a tripod to a 1/4-20 thread on the GLM400CL. It worked well. I needed a plumb hook for my application which was listed on the Revain website on a tripod. As soon as I received the BT300 I found that it had no plumb bob. I was able to attach a hook that worked, but the tripod mount on the GLM400CL is on the opposite…

Pros
  • ADJUSTABLE: The tripod has a stable adjustable base that rotates, adjusts and straightens the product for stable measurements.
Cons

Reliable but has some issues for casual users

I wanted a tripod for my Bosch GLS25 laser. I bought it first a basic camera tripod that actually worked fine but the problem was not enough height and the tilt/pan mechanisms that come standard with camera tripods are another source of height error. In general the camera tripod worked fine but I needed more height I looked at the PLS lift tripod and this Bosch model, in the end I settled on the Bosch because it was a bit cheaper and matched the laser - in hindsight I think PLS would be better…

Pros
  • VERSATILITY: Bosch BT300 with 5/8" to 11 threads is universal and also comes with a plumb hook
