Review on πŸ”§ BOSCH BT300: Aluminum Heavy Duty Elevator Quick Clamp Tripod - 45 Inch by Dawn Edwards

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not as stable as when used outdoors; A few features are missing

The aluminum construction of the Bosch Heavy Duty Elevator Quick Clamp is great - they're pretty strong (although mine fell in the garage it got a serious dent which luckily ONLY was above the telescoping partial legs). Less pretty: The aluminum "legs" of the Bosch Heavy Duty Elevator Quick Clamp tripod are fairly stable on paved surfaces, but require a spike or other fixture to hold them. Feet will not slip when used on the floor. = The center shaft is not reversible (i.e. you cannot use the mount "below" the connection point of the legs). This limits the height at which you can use your laser level to more than 3 feet (assuming the legs don't "pop out" because they don't hold up well when lifted to the point where you're 3 reach feet above the plain). - The tripod does not have a bubble level so you can get a "close to level" mount in front of a laser level or other device. On my laser level, this can end up wasting time dancing with a tripod to get a rough level so the level will automatically level when unlocked).
