I wanted this hat for my son, he is only 1 month to 3 years old and has a big head but this hat fits him perfectly. was hoping there would be room for growth at least in a few years as the size was "M/L (ages 3-8)" but not that much. I would like to attribute this to my son's larger than average skull, but he is definitely not the size of an 8 year old. So I would say the size given here is a little off, I know kids come in all shapes and sizes but I would say 'M/L' around the age of 3 or 4-5 years. The rest of the hat is great. .
