We bought this mouthguard hoping it would reduce our 9 year old daughter's tooth damage while she sleeps - she is prone to grinding her teeth. At first she was uncomfortable and decided I needed to trim the height from top to bottom to the molars. It was easy given the slots provided at this location. There are a few other points that she says don't quite add up, but there's no pain in those areas. She falls asleep with a face mask on, but it falls out at some point during the night or she may spit it out. I think at the moment some kind of thin molded liner would be better for them.
