This product is much easier to use than its liquid counterpart. Pouring liquid down the toilet before flushing gives off a strong unpleasant odor which I don't think is very good to breathe since the product is essentially a powerful bacterial agent. However, the granular form of K-37 is odorless when poured down the toilet before flushing. Both products appear to be very effective in preventing septic problems. I've been using K-37 in my septic tank system for 25 years and have never had backups or other issues with my septic tank system.
