This is a very solid instrument and looks good so I just leave it on the counter. It replaced the plastic I broke. I have an espresso/coffee combo machine. The spoon is ideal for measuring the degree of coffee grind. The stand is great for compacting your soil in a portafilter. Since it's a good weight, I don't have to push and pull like I did with a broken plastic tool, and now I'll probably never have to replace it. 5 Stars!
