This thing works great! I have 3 cats and due to several accidents they have had at the base nothing else worked to get rid of the cat spray smell after we used our pet vacuum and sprayed the cleaner on it. This particular device cleans the air well, leaving our finished basement smelling fresh in a relatively short amount of time. No more cat smell. The hair doesn't fly either. The functions are extremely easy to use after reading the short manual. Easy easy! It was also very easy to put all the components together after opening the box. I've only had it for about a month, but it seems to be staying pretty clean, and it's by far the SILENT air purifier I've ever had. It's also the most stylish block I've ever seen on a marker. It's not bulky, its width fits tight spaces, yet looks so flat against the wall as if it's sunk into it. I'm definitely thinking about buying a second one. The only criticism of the device is that it does not have a timer. It runs all day long unless you turn it off. Otherwise it works damn well! It does the job I need it for and that's really all I can ask for. I will definitely look into other replacement filters. I would try that thing.
