I was having trouble holding the phone properly. So I like to always have some kind of phone holder. And a tripod is a nice perk. In fact, before I found this device, I connected something similar using a mini flexible tripod and a phone clamp, but it's much better than my version. tripod immediately. That's great, but it's also a weak link. My first one broke because I wasn't careful with it but when I informed the seller they replaced it without question without asking me to return the broken one and I received a replacement 2 days later. I'm ordering a few more for my friends.
