The manufacturer/seller lures with elegant design and price, but these are the only 5-star qualities for this product (price worth discussing). The hardware on this device fails *almost* any time water is present (or better yet, if the leak is present for about 30 minutes - talk about making the injury worse!). Unlike other reviewers, I can't confirm/deny the reliability of the network connections, but the furthest device is about 20 feet from my router. These blocks just don't set off an alarm right away when they get wet. Sometimes they trigger a notification when water comes in contact with the sensor for a long time. In addition, sensors sometimes also trigger an alarm when they are dry. In my introductory paragraph I said that price is one of the two attractive features of this device, which is true until you consider that these devices do not work as advertised, in which case you are wasting money on non-working devices. Every quality seller will read reviews and questions in the FAQ. Customer support seems to be lacking in both categories. If my review helps at least one person not to spend money on these things, it was worth the time to write it.
