I bought this bulb for my sister who complained of regular headaches. That spring she went to the doctor several times, had an eye exam, went on an elimination diet and could not determine the cause. She mentioned that the lighting in her office was poor and her desk wasn't next to a window, so she had little natural light. Today she sent me a message with a photo to thank me. Her first lamp had a clear plastic shade and she said it was too bright and distracting at eye level. She replaced it with a monochromatic lampshade and placed it on the side of the monitor for reading documents or writing. She said she hasn't had a headache in 3 weeks. She said the only major change she'd made for sure was that she put this lamp on her desk about a month ago. She's convinced it's the lightbulb. I'll give her some more time and update the review if she starts complaining about headaches again.
