I had this unit for a few weeks and finally installed it. The device is fairly easy to use, but it would have been helpful if the instructions pointed out a battery hole, which I eventually found. I've found that most of the slides I've scanned have a black bar at the bottom. It's not on the slide as seen on my light table. I thought maybe I didn't get the slide in the holder quite right, so I made more adjustments. A line kept appearing, which is why I had to go to "my pictures" and cut the line every time I took a picture. I will try it one last time and if it persists I will return the device.
