The Neewer Vision5 Flash is a great flash for beginners in studio or outdoor photography. The price is great, the weight is reasonable and the performance is relatively good. My two complaints about flashes: 1) Incompatibility with other flashes. You are forced to use Vision series flashes. So if you think you can use it to power your Sony flash, you're wrong. 2) The cooldown can be a bit long, and even after a sufficient cooldown, it often fails on the first click or even the second. A recommendation: If you want to use light coasters, upgrade them. The flashes are heavier than regular sonic flashes or at least the cheap beginner flashes I've had from Cowboy Studio before and the rods on the stands will flex/flex under weight so stronger, lighter stands are a must.
