Review on 🦾 Kwikee (903209025 2-Step): Efficient Solution for Accessibility by Tyrone Lyons

Kwikee Electric Dual Ladders 903209025 I installed these on a tool trolley to replace the manual steps. The installation went very well. Lippert was unable to provide installation instructions, but the schematics in the owner's manual told me enough to get by. (There is a link that automatically retracts the steps when the truck engine is started, but I chose not to turn it on because sometimes I start the engine without moving the truck. To disable, a wire to chassis ground connect.) I was disappointed that Lippert didn't have a mount for steps. I had to modify the old bracket and add some spacers so I could install the steps - that was the longest part of the installation process. The steps are quite heavy for a cramped workspace and it took some effort to get them into the bolting position. I installed them with 2x4s and blocks of wood while I worked on the gravel. I think it would be easier if I used a small scissor jack or two on the concrete slab. The steps work well after about 2 months of use. I was initially concerned that the magnetic door sensor would not work on my metal doors, but it works very well. The treads are firmer than I was hoping for and I think if I replace them I'll spend more and go for the heavier version. Overall I'm happy with the value for money and will probably buy again. I would give 5 stars if Lippert provided a mount. November 2020 update 4 years old and still working perfectly. Very satisfied.
