Review on AUTOHAUX Engine Valve XDrive 11127570292 by Sean Moran

This is not an identical replacement for the 2012 X5 35i. I had the typical high pitched hum from the rear main seal that N55s get when the PCV valve fails. After watching the video I was able to perfectly remove the original PVC plastic welded valve. Then when you replace that block, it won't fit properly, allowing the center orange portion of the diaphragm to fit snugly into the valve cover boss. This center will seal when installed without a spring, but you will need a spring to set the pressure in the oil pan to the correct level. Note: You can and should run dry without sealant. In the end I still hated the thought of replacing the valve cover and got creative and cut the spring into small sections to the point where installing the spring just stopped the whining (not mine) with the engine running. I've sealed with a permanent seal and so far so good after some freeway commuting to and from work. Get ready for this kind of creativity. I also think I got it right as there is still a slight vacuum when opening the oil cap. But not enough vacuum to make a howl. Much luck.
