There's no reason to spend more than the bare minimum necessary to transmit an HDMI signal between devices. This C&E High Speed HDMI cable is a great value, affordable and fully effective cable for connecting a 4K TV to a 4K source - I'm sure these qualities apply to other cable lengths as well. 8 feet long (typical HDMI cable length is 6 inches and 10 feet). I have the ideal HDMI cable as short as possible for my application, which is important for two reasons: 1) less signal loss/interference and 2) fewer control cables.
