Best Camera!: Mirrorless Cameras

Overall I think this is the best camera I've owned. To make it short I will only list the positives and negatives starting with the negatives because there are so few of them! Negative - - Focus speed - If your main focus is on shooting sports or animals on the run then this might not be it. camera for you. I'm not saying the autofocus isn't great, it's just that it's not up to the level I get from my Nikon DSLR. With a fast focusing lens like the 70-200mm, it's amazing how well this camera can capture and focus on subjects! This camera works very well with zoom lenses, but not as well. It also doesn't work that well in low light. It doesn't work as well with prime lenses as it does with zoom lenses. However, if you find yourself in a situation where manual focus is enough, this camera's manual focus assist methods are great and make focusing very easy. This can be very handy when you want to focus at certain distances to ensure depth of field. This is my only negative aspect of this camera. Pros - there are more than I have time to list but here are some of the basic +++ All lenses. All the lenses I've bought are incredibly sharp. You can get a very fast lens (f1.4 or better) that performs amazingly, even very sharp at the wide open edges of the frame, for a reasonable price+. This camera produces amazingly clear images. Much better than any Nikon, Canon or Sony I've ever used. When you zoom in big on an image, it really catches the eye with the clarity you see. + Perfect control. It has all the right buttons to make the necessary adjustments quickly and easily. This may seem insignificant to some, but I really appreciate how much easier and more enjoyable the whole experience is. + Images that come naturally from the camera require far less post-processing than any other camera. The film simulation settings available are wonderful and allow a person to capture amazing photos straight from the camera. + The viewfinder is perfect. It's incredibly sharp and has very accurate color reproduction.+ The weather protection allowed me to shoot in many conditions where I couldn't shoot with another camera. It's incredibly well made, so I'm not afraid to take it with me in the rain or snowstorm.+ The ability to tilt the monitor on the back allows me to take photos of very unique views that I wouldn't be able to take otherwise. + Compared to a DSLR, this camera is MUCH lighter, which makes it a lot more comfortable to hike with! There are too many other positives to mention! This is easily my favorite camera I've ever had!
