I had no idea how big it would be with all my stuff, it took up a lot of space in my suitcase. I have a packing cube that I put my shampoo, hair gel, combs and large bottles that are too big for them. then put it in the packing cube and everything fits perfectly. I guess it depends how you look at it, but I'd rather have a flat square cube than a giant rolled up thing and a cube. In general the quality is good. Pockets are mesh to allow things to "breathe". The zippers seem strong enough although I wouldn't bother repacking the packages.
