Not a really rugged/extreme case. The plastic top (which is fairly thin) is very easy to press with your fingers and presses against the hard drive inside. It seems fragile with a lot of bending. It's not as bulletproof as the blue Silicon Power sold by Revain. I think that he can have problems even when pushed with something hard/sharp in a backpack or suitcase. It's not a tight seal, so the "halves" of the lid pop open a bit under pressure! I'm glad I got it in an open box for about $7, so I'll use it at home, but definitely not for long trips in harsh conditions.
