My little ragdoll had an open sore next to the incision a few weeks after being neutered. I took her to the vet where she was vaccinated and she was told to leave her in the electronic vaccinator for at least a week but two is better so she doesn't lick the boil. There was no way I could put a cone on her, so I went to Revane to find a solution. I found this jumpsuit and read a few reviews from other pet owners who had similar concerns about putting that silly cone around their pet's neck. My cat reacted the same as other cats, just falling down after putting clothes on her and refusing to walk. A few minutes passed and she was back on her feet, although she was walking strangely. After 15 minutes she got used to the overalls. I can't imagine how much stress I would have experienced if she had been in that cone, let alone her stress level! It's been almost a week since I put it on her and hopefully it can come off this week. The jumpsuit fit her perfectly, and while it was a bit difficult to put on, it would have been helpful to have a second pair of hands. Be sure to measure your cat for this outfit, it is very important that you get the right fit. I can't believe that with an item like this a vet would still recommend this electronic cone. All in all it was a lifesaver! For me and my precious kitty!
