After using it for a few months I have really enjoyed making waffles with this Bella Waffle Maker. A few things I find helpful for perfect waffles is to apply vegetable oil as directed and reapply lightly for each waffle you make. I also set the temperature gauge as directed for the average setting and turn it up slightly for best results, and if the waffle stretches when first opened, I cook an additional minute to a minute and a half. Finally, I use a spatula to remove the waffles and that seems to work best for me. Cleaning consisted of a light wipe and a light application of vegetable oil. I use a vegetable oil brush. I'm sure a lot depends on where you live and what type of batter you use, but I found that after a little experimentation and following the directions consistently, I was able to enjoy great fresh waffles. I hope you succeed too!
