Not as strong as I hoped

I ordered this chair for my 4 year old as he had a hard time staying in the chair while eating. When I first assembled the chair I thought it was of pretty good quality. But after a few months of use, the screws became loose and kept falling out even with regular tightening. It also breaks the target where my son pulls the chair at the table.
