These are used on the front of my Road King to tie to a trailer. Make sure you wrap it around the bottom of the shocks (don't pinch the break lines) to secure the bike. If you put it on the handlebars, you have to crank the bike's suspension to keep it from bouncing. Wrapping it around the bottom of the shock where the fender connects keeps the wheel firmly on the trailer and allows the bike's suspension to move freely and not lose.
