This is for a child's room. Playback is nothing compared to my standalone JBL Bluetooth speaker that fills the entire room. I think the USB port is what the $100 is worth as it doesn't do anything else. I've always had Kenwood, Aiwa, stereo. Bookshelf, separate components, really good noise canceling headphones. If you don't care or you don't know what an equalizer can do for playback or recording, be my guest. This toy is for you. I am very disappointed in this purchase as I was trying to replace my computer speakers (small CA with subwoofer control) with my tablet to get rid of the tarantula I have in the kitchen because we have cats. Strings are toys for them. I'm at a loss as to how "nothing" is a thing. There's no 'boom' coming from this transistor radio and as soon as I hit 'send' I'll box it up and send it back.
