Ray-Ban Junior Kids RJ9066S Wayfarer Square Sunglasses Review: Mixed set

I recently purchased Ray-Ban Junior Kids RJ9066S Wayfarer Square Sunglasses in Black/Light Gray with anthracite gray gradient with a 47mm lens width for my 10 year old son. While the sunglasses look stylish and offer 100% UV protection, my experience with them has been mixed. First, the sunglasses are quite small, which can be a godsend for small children. However, my son found them uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time, which defeats the purpose of a good pair of sunglasses. Secondly, the color gradient on the lenses is not as pronounced as on the product images. This may be personal preference, but I was expecting a darker gradient than what I got. On the other hand, the sunglasses appear to be quite durable and well-made, which is important for things kids are likely to use roughly. The black and gray color scheme is also versatile and can be combined with a variety of outfits. Overall I would give the Ray-Ban Junior Kids RJ9066S Wayfarer Square sunglasses 3 stars. While stylish and offering excellent UV protection, their small size and uncomfortable fit may not be suitable for all children. Also, the gradient on the lenses can be disappointing.

Pros
  • Comfortable fit
Cons
  • Limited color options for kids who want more personality and variety in their accessories.
