I expected the lace to be very smooth - basically nothing sticking out, no uneven scraps of fabric sticking out. The fingers have a really weird texture and little corners that crease a bit. I bought these for my daughter who has sensitivity issues with regular socks. She wasn't thrilled with them because of the wrinkled corners that got a little tangled in her shoe. However, she somehow got used to it and now insists on wearing it. That's how it all turned out. I just expected them to have a smoother texture and fewer "landmarks".
