Review on SMTYOE White Festoon LED Bulb 29mm - Enhanced Visibility with 3-SMD 5050 Chipsets, Compatible with Car Interior Vanity Mirror and Sun Visor Lights - 6614F 6612F by Brian West

These bulbs are MUCH brighter than the original bulbs they replaced and are easy to install BUT you have to do it RIGHT! My first attempt at installing these bulbs in the rearview mirrors of my wife's 2015 Toyota Sienna XLE minivan failed and I thought the bulbs were defective. With OEM bulbs, all you have to do is lift the vanity mirror lid and they will light up. BUT these LED bulbs will not light up IF YOU DO NOT TURN ON YOUR VEHICLE HEADLIGHTS. And even then, if POLARITY is ignored, they will not light up! After turning on the car headlights, the LED bulb still wouldn't come on UNTIL I turned it upside down (thereby reversing the polarity). THEN they worked. I hope this review helps someone avoid the disappointment I experienced with these LED light bulbs! UPDATE: I wrote the above review after attempting to install new LED bulbs in the driver's side vanity mirror. When I installed the same bulbs in the passenger side rear view mirrors, they lit up immediately WITHOUT turning on the car lights. What doesn't make sense to me?
