Much needed upgrades from 2017 version

So last year in August 2017 I bought their 2016-2017 version of the chair. It was a solid chair with few flaws like; missing cushion and broken gas bottle to adjust the height of the chair. Every time I sit on it, it slowly lowers, which is very, very frustrating. After consultation with the manufacturer, I received another gas bottle, which in turn was defective. So I had high hopes when I received this updated version of the chair. . Firstly I've been using the chair for about a week and the gas tank still works like new which is a fantastic touch also they seem to have changed the cushion on the chair a bit to be a bit firmer and it won. does not lose its shape in 10 minutes. Other than that, I don't really notice any difference from the 2017 version, but as mentioned, these small updates seem to be big differences. Pros: Really the best for the price. It is equipped with a footrest, a lumbar support and a comfortable pillow. No, it's obviously not as comfortable or luxurious as the DXRacer, but it does the job quite well. As an engineering student, I spend a lot of time sitting at my desk looking at papers and a monitor. It's really nice to lean back on the footstool and take a nap in this chair when you run out of energy. The finish is surprisingly good, it's really well made faux leather. I've seen other cheap gaming chairs but this one beats it quite a bit. Cons: Lumbar support - obviously they wanted to add a massage feature to their lumbar support and I personally don't find that necessary. There are two settings on the massager: 1 and 2. To be honest I really don't see any difference, and the fact that you have to plug the massager into an outlet even limits your ability to move around the office or room if you are alone, just turn your chair. It could also do without it, reducing costs even further. The creaky sound is an issue I may not have noticed in the 2017 version. Obviously, that's not a huge issue for me, as there's not a squeaky noise that a drop of WD-40 can't fix (the world knows we engineering students drink and swear by the names WD-40 and duck tape). Just spray a little between the gas cylinder and the chair itself. The problem is solved. The 8-axis non-armrest isn't exactly a disadvantage as it's only supported in really high-end gaming chairs. This chair can move the armrest up and down, but it cannot adjust the in/out/angle angles. You get what you pay for. Overall, there is no other chair like this in this price range. Customer service is Chinese time so you might get their email at 3am or so, but they are very responsive and willing to help despite their English. If you're looking for a gaming chair for under $200, this is the chair to buy. The updated version is really worth it as they fixed the faulty gas cylinder issue. I've added a few photos, one of which compares the updated version (left) and the 2017 version (right). Visually, there isn't much of a difference, but you might notice that the 2017 version sits lower because the petrol tank doesn't work properly.
