Negative feedback is not guaranteed

I bought this silicone case/cover ($7.99 for the black version) for my Apple TV Siri Remote expecting it to be "unhappy". All the negative reviews complain about how horrible it is to use the edges of the trackpad to scroll/fast-forward/backward. Almost everyone said that the raised edge of the silicone prevented the remote from working properly. Guess what? It seems like most of these reviewers have never tried other cases, or are probably complaining for the sake of complaining. I had it for about six weeks. Although the silicone rim around the trackpad is raised, it doesn't interfere with proper scrolling/fast-forwarding/rewinding. These features still work really well as you don't have to be on the edge of the remote for them to work. You don't even have to be *nervous* for them to work. Just touch - everything works. The foam rubber grip of the silicone is pleasant. The concave bottom makes it easier to hold. The strap, which I initially despised, has proven very useful when watching TV in bed - no more losing the remote in cases. Note: This is not a 5 star review for two reasons. 1. Each color is very different in price. 2. Mainly because the magnets aren't strong enough to hold the remote control. Why magnets? They serve no real useful purpose other than adding unnecessary weight and cost. I say this as someone who uses the remote mainly when I'm standing next to a metal bedside table where the magnets would/should work just fine. I'm not going to buy a separate $10 metal plate to see if it works. My advice is don't buy it for the magnets unless you plan to take them off and use them for something else.
