Review on 🚽 Efficient Cleaning: OXO Good Grips Toilet Brush & Plunger Combo for Superior Hygiene by Maurice Ford

Holds brush and pestle well but sometimes locks the pestle

I've wanted a brush and pestle set for each of my bathrooms and I've had good luck with OXO kitchenware so I thought I'd give this one a try. Works as advertised for the most part: brush kept clean and away from eyes and inquisitive paws (although my cat doesn't fidget around much; I'd keep a close eye on inquisitive cats and any dogs as long as you know they won't mess with it ). BUT Today I had a situation where I had to quickly remove the plunger. It didn't come out. So while the water was pouring to the bottom I dig out the mount to try and free the plunger. I emptied it, unclogged it and cleaned up the mess, but it definitely wasn't what I expected! As mentioned in other reviews, toiletries should generally be kept as closed as possible. so what happened? I think it's a design issue. I've added a few pictures for explanation. At the base of the handle, just above the butt, is a small ring. With this ring in the retainer, you can easily remove the piston as intended. But . When this ring is on the outside of the holder it effectively blocks the piston inside and it takes a lot of force to pry it out. This wouldn't be that much of a problem, except that if you don't reinsert the piston quickly and the ring jams the lock, the doors will close before the piston is fully retracted. doors down. Too bad because other than that it's exactly what I was looking for - a place to fit both the brush and plunger that doesn't take up much space. Not being able to rely on what the plunger pulls out in an emergency can be a deciding factor, especially if you forget to carefully replace it after cleaning up the last mess.
