Review on PointZero HP Airbrush Compressor Portable by Angela Rodriguez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

You will need a custom airbrush hose.

The compressor itself is very quiet and produces a lot of pressure. Overall I'm happy with it. However, the problem I have is the airbrush hose coming out of the air tank. This is a 1/8" BSP narrow thread tube fitting. None of my three airbrush hoses were compatible with this outlet as they had a much larger fitting on the non-airbrush end. "Airbrush end" fits perfectly , but then you have to find adapters for the airbrush yourself. I searched the internet, Ace Hardware, Home Depot and Lowes for adapters and consulted friends who had similar compressors - nothing worked. I called Point Zero customer service, and a very polite representative informed me that this was not her area of expertise but would send me what information she had on airbrush tools. The 4 page article was very detailed explaining the different types of fittings and the difference between US and UK thread sizes. Pooh! It didn't help and I decided to return the compressor. On a whim I checked the Point Zero website again but was looking for airbrush hoses instead of compressor adapters and to my surprise I found an airbrush hose with the same fittings on both ends to fit the air tank outlet and the airbrush. They are: 1/8 braided air hose that has a 1/8" BSP female connector on both ends (cost about $7). Problem solved. but email me, what information she has about airbrush tools.
