Review on Tarte Flamingle Fla Mingle Flamingos Pineapple by Ashley Leckie

Makes getting up easier

I'm a Caribbean girl so I knew I needed these brushes the moment I saw them. From the photos it is difficult to understand their weight and ease of use. I'll be completely honest and tell you these aren't the most practical brushes, especially with a flamingo body. These two are very heavy and a bit chunky, so I just use a powder brush to quickly remove excess setting powder (but I have better brushes for that) and a diffuser to soften the highlights even more on my little days. Additionally. I'm an artist, so my mix always has to be accurate. The big plus is that they're soft, but the bristles are strong, so they're not cheap novelty brushes for decorating. Now for the real heroes of this set. Seems to me Tarte should have put all his energies into creating a complete pineapple bodied brush set. These are the brushes I really wanted a set for. The fan brush is a bit wide for precise highlights, but it's a great fan brush for applying and blending my bronzer with Fenty Penny4UThots. The Contour Brush is the only brush I use for both blush and highlighter. The small pineapple bronzer brush is a nice addition, but probably the only brush in my entire collection that I don't use. I thought it would act like kabuki for body radiance, but it's not very good for that. I think for $30 it should be if you like cute themed brushes. Maybe a pass if you're into practicality ie brushes are just a workhorse or you travel with your brushes a lot.
