I found that this coat actually fits the measurements given by the seller, specifically the girth. I made the mistake of reading other reviews by increasing the size and it was too big. I ordered the right size and it fits perfectly as you can see in the photo. When I was looking for this coat - I was specifically looking for the one that has a zipper in the back - we have a lot of snow - and we're walking on a road with a lot of dirty mud. The coat with Velcro absolutely gets dirty during walks - this coat collects much less dirt and is easy to wash! Love the choker too - I ordered a second coat from another seller so I can change coats in the wash - and it doesn't have suspenders - and I feel like the cold air is going straight into that coat - that coat keep him warm! I wear a sweater under my coat on particularly cold days. He is a Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix and although he LOVES the outdoors I see him shivering in the cold sometimes. This coat works alone on frosty days and I combine it with a sweater on frosty days!
