We've been using Japanese cotton for decades! Most Americans don't even know it exists. I saved it when I went to Tokyo on business trips. It's expensive compared to drugstore cotton in the US, but once people try it, they will NEVER go back to drugstore cotton (and I always use the cheapest but most affordable material). The key point is the softness and absorbency of Japanese cotton. I can use two cotton pads to remove all nail polish from both hands. It absorbs the remover but also holds it and releases it back onto the nails for repeated use, the same goes for an astringent, toner or micellar water. I probably spelled Miceller-lol wrong. You will get an image. So this cotton is not as expensive as it seems because I sew it much slower.
