I thought it would be a quick plug and play solution to use the rechargeable AA batteries I already use to power my LED studio lights on a budget. nope! Everything looks fine unpacked (photo 1), but you will soon find that they do not fit. More precisely, the front ones don't fit. The rear is fine. The holes on the front sides are too short (photo 2). There's nothing the Dremel can't handle (Figure 3), but it's still a major inconvenience if you don't test it first (which you don't have to do with any battery). A simple little pebble (Photo 4) will take care of each side in a matter of seconds. Even a cheap "Dremel" Harbor Freight can handle it (pic 5). Also, the case doesn't even fit properly in the slot once the sides are attached, as it uses cheap flat pins that rest on contact pins on the device instead of fitting into the battery as intended. Pretty useless for anything that doesn't balance the fall with gravity as that's all it's clinging to. After all, you get what you pay for. It works, but with some limitations.
