The first kit worked fine for a month or three, and then I started having internet cuts that I couldn't explain. I eventually traced it back to this adapter. Wiggling or unplugging and plugging it back in would fix it for a while, so I denied the source of my problems. As a result, it broke more often than it worked. Removing this item from the chain fixed everything. I tried another block of 5 packs and it didn't work at all. The other two were inconsistent, the last one also unsuccessful. 1 short life, 2 bad and 2 complete DOA. not a good view. FWIW I know the signal in my apartment is weak and has to go through several splitters before I can even access it; but I have other (straight) connections that don't give me any problems. Tl; dr: you get what you pay for.
