This coat is amazingly cheap if you can find it here. I was a little nervous about the fit. I was usually between L and XL and L had plenty of room for my wide hips! It's not very thick, but I think it fits most MN winters. UPDATE: I actually wear this jacket now when it's cold and love it even more. It has a few KEY features that I love in a quality winter jacket. Fleece-lined pockets to keep hands warm. It cuts and moves well and does not restrict movement when active. The collar is also lined with fleece so it's soft on the face and doesn't have a cold zipper right on the chin. The only downside is that the hood is a bit big and doesn't have a drawstring, but that's not a problem for me. I vowed to only buy fur hooded winter coats that live in northern MN winters!
