These headlights work as expected. The outer material is soft silicone, which worked great for me. I have a Samsung microwave and the socket in the box used the same type of bulbs, but the glass on the standard bulbs was square to fit the socket. These bulbs didn't have long enough wires, and even if they did, it wouldn't be safe to leave them plugged in. Because it's a soft silicone, I was able to trim the silicone just enough (while still leaving some electronics coating on the bulb) for it to fit the same as the OEM bulb and still fit snugly into the connector. This was all done by watching how much I had to cut and using a mating knife so it didn't take much skill. I plan to repurchase them when they run out.
