I would like to start this review by saying that I have already returned the product. The 100 lights are really cool stuff and once they were up we really liked how they looked overall. Here are the problems I found. As you may have read in other reviews, the headlights are very fragile. Even if they stretch just a little on the concrete, they will most likely explode into a dusty cloud of glass. They come with five extra bulbs that I had to use and I even needed a sixth to light up 100 bulbs on my first day of installation. I could probably try ordering replacement bulbs, but what bothered me the most was noticing that the entire string of lights seemed to be pulsing. I took a video and in slow motion you could really see the string pulsing. Not sure if it could be fixed, but it was strong enough to completely bother me and distract me as I tried to relax under the lights. I figured if this problem persists then I definitely don't want these lights on my patio. I've read the fine print in the instructions and it seems to be something to do with the extension gauge you use with them. Each bulb consumes 5 watts, so the total output is 500 watts. I bought a really good extension cord from Home Depot that has good reviews, but maybe you need to buy very expensive extension cords? If so, that's another good reason for me to return the lamp. You should make it clear in advance that they cannot be used without pulsing unless you have a specific type of extension cord. Here, too, my power strip is of high quality and designed for outdoor use. I didn't see anyone complaining about the ripple issue in any of the reviews, so I might very well be the only one having this issue. If you are on a tight budget and have read the reviews, feel free to buy it. They are usable. I'm just picky and didn't like the quality for the money.
