Perfect for old Levalor 1 " aluminum blinds

I bought this to replace a broken pull cord on a 34 year old Levalor 1" aluminum mini blind that was lifted daily and is lowered. Although slightly larger in diameter than the original, it works perfectly. I replaced the cords on a broken blind and on two adjacent blinds, all 3' x 5' windows. On the other hand you can find a measurement method where you wrap an old string around a pencil 10 turns and then measure the width. I've found that this method gives a larger diameter than the actual measurement, possibly because the cord tends to flatten out a bit. When carefully measured with calipers, the old cable was actually around 1.6mm and the new 1.8mm. Definitely, this pack is what you need. I've added 4 photos, one showing the old cable on the right and the new cable on the left, the label on the bottom of the old Levalor blind, an unboxing shot and finally how much remains on the spool after 3 windows. you will have many. At first I was concerned that the blinds wouldn't fall freely due to the heavier cord, but they work great and feel good when you lift them up. I have restored old Levalores because they are heavier and better finished than new ones and new ones are expensive. I used the lighter and fuse method to pull the new line through and it worked fine. If you lower the blinds and spray silicone spray on the moving parts of the top track, you'll have a new blind. Enjoy! Tag on the bottom of the old Levalor blind, unpack the frame and finally How much is left on the spool after 3 windows? you will have many.
