Great but needs to be secured with weight

I'm a makeup artist. That's why it's always important to me to be able to put on my make-up quickly and easily. I saw this and thought it was a great idea. Just take a look. WHAT IS IT FOR? In fact, it is a rough sponge with larger cells. It is cut to fit in a metal jar with a lid. HOW TO USE IT? It is meant to be used by rotating the brushes on this sponge - dry - and it will clean the brush between colors. HOW DOES IT PERFORM? The idea behind it is BIG. However, when applying makeup, he has one major disadvantage. It is very light and MOVES. The idea behind something like this is that I want to switch between colors quickly so I can continue my work and get on with it. In this case, I have to stop what I'm doing, pick up the can, or hold the can on the countertop with my hand, and then rotate EVERY TIME. Otherwise the can twirls all over the place and that's frustrating. CAN THIS BE FIXED? I used double sided tape and attached it to a flat weighted paper weight. A similar small heavy piece of anything will do. I just prefer that it can be used without two hands during makeup, otherwise it takes too long. CLEANING This kind of sponge is easy to wash and then air dry. It washes fairly well and dries well overnight. Just make sure to squeeze out as much water as possible as you scrub. CONCLUSION This is a great idea. It works but it needs a load on the bottom. After sticking it on the flat weight with double sided tape, it was much easier to use. MY RATING IS THREE STARS. On its own, it's a little frustrating to use unless I'm sitting around with all sorts of time to do my own or someone else's makeup. That rarely happens, so I'd rather have a way to stabilize it so it doesn't move when used with one hand.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not as good as it says it is
