The sponge has larger pores that clean makeup brushes better than fine pores. I've tried so many Vera Mona, by far the best. Mini is so cute and small. Ideal for on the go in a make-up bag. But it's big enough to still rotate the brush.

Unfortunately, this product has been changed to be made in China instead of the USA, resulting in a reduced quality. Now it's in a plain white can, and the sponge itself is just a piece of plastic with large pores. It removes some powder from the brush but it's not enough for me and it's definitely small enough to toss in a bag but it's so small it's hard to use on all but the smallest brushes. I just didn't find it effective enough for the price and I think they should have updated the picture
