Review on Vera Mona Color Swap Mini by Aleksandre Crane

The Vera Mona Color Switch Mini Brush Cleaner I received is not purple as pictured online and it clearly says it's in Made in China, not in the US. I wasn't even sure if I'd received a genuine product, so I made the usual email customer support request and was told I'd received the latest version of the product (which is why I'm posting pictures). This product is a coarse piece of synthetic black sponge material in a can. "Sponge" reminds me of a type of packaging material that I've seen some electronic and other products wrapped in during shipping. I "cleaned" my makeup brush by rubbing it against a rough sponge in a circular motion. Some makeup has been removed, but not completely. My bristles now look confused and I have yet to wash my brush as it appears dirty. I also adjusted the eyeshadow brush that I only use with powder eyeshadow and it worked a little better. I guess if someone has to rely on just one eyeshadow brush for a lot of colors, this "sponge" might help a bit, but decent eyeshadow brushes are very affordable. I would rather buy more brushes and wash them. This item is a disappointment. 2 stars.
