They tie perfectly

I wanted to stretch the laces a bit but didn't pay eight bucks for a pair. I bought several of these locks, 1/8 inch string, and some heat shrink tubing (to finish off the ends of the string), and also made my own laces for five pairs of shoes (joggers, slippers, etc.). etc.) Works great.
