Well not quite what I thought. This is a very light material. So light that I'd be afraid if I dropped something in the shower it might break if it was cold underneath. It is similar in thickness to the material surrounding the bathtub. I am not sure if I will use it or not. A good walk-in shower would have been a better choice in hindsight. OK. I looked a little more. I plan to install and then we'll see. The drain seems to face forward, so if I replace it with an actual shower rod in the future, it will line up.
