I bought these as an inexpensive alternative for foot support and comfort. I got what I paid for. Pains. I am a 5 foot 10 inch, 170 pound male, 37 years old. I walk sidewalks for about 4 miles at a time. I bought these because the soles proved to be semi-soft and could absorb a lot of impact. /A hit. I was wrong. I've been a "dumb boy" many times in my life, so I know exactly what it's like to race barefoot, in Doc Martens, leather work boots, rubber knee-high hunting boots, and even snakeskin cowboy boots. And now this one. The hard rubber outsole is hardly "inferior" to these shoes. Worse, they are HEAVY! This is off balance but combined with a poor/large leg opening that holds my female/chicken leg like it's loosely hugging an unshaven aunt 2 packs a day. This is NASA's moon walk. Along the way, I stepped on a few "bumps" like sticking up roots, uneven sidewalks, and pain that radiated right into my foot. Lesson. If I want comfort, I spend more money on better shoes.
